Latino Voter Mobilization Underway

The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) reports that its efforts to mobilize Latino families to the polls are underway. The group recently partnered with GA Familias Unidas, and has set up Georgia GOTV phone banks every Tuesday and Thursday from 6–8 p.m. ET.

In a LCLAA video series emphasizing why it is important to vote, member Oscar Baez speaks in Gainesville, Georgia: “Voting is very important for me, so I can be the voice for those who live in the shadows, in the darkness. I want to be their voice in those moments, because those are the people who are most needed at this moment.”
